Adiabatic Thermal Screening Equipment (ARLA ATSE):
Algochem’s ATSE is an adiabatic micro-calorimeter that can rapidly identify and analyse potential runaway reactions:
- ATSE uses a high sensitivity pressure detection system (pressure range up to 70bar) that provides key process scale up information on runaway reaction dynamics and pressure relief systems.
- ATSE uses magnetically stirred low phi spherical glass test cells* of various sizes including 5, 10 and 20ml.
- Solids and liquids are routinely tested in the ATSE.
- ATSE is designed to heat the surface of the sample test cell (temperature range 20 to 300 ºC) giving precise and rapid temperature data acquisition.
- ATSE allows manual injection of liquids to the sample test cell under investigation
- ARLA software (same software platform for all of Algochem’s automation products) controls and allows automation of ATSE experiments
- A series of thermal analysis experimental profiles are preloaded in the experimental set up section such as heat wait searches... The user can design, automate and save their own thermal hazard analysis experiment profiles.
ARLA software simplifies data acquisition by representing all temperature and pressure data in visual curve formats. All date is stored in the database and available in the integrated MS compatible electronic laboratory notebook (ELAB note).
